OUR STORY

The pure joy, freedom and memories provided by “backyard, driveway, or playground” sports is a universally shared and unmatched experience. Certainly outdoor hockey and skating on frozen ponds was a common experience for many growing up in colder regions. Our products were born from the love for these activities.

Growing up in western New York provided a few opportunities each year for those idyllic pond hockey days when everything lined up perfectly; your friends were around and the pond was frozen and free of snow! Great times for sure. As a new hockey parent living in suburbia in Rochester, NY, I had heard of people building outdoor rinks using boards and tarps, and thought I’d give it a try. Well, long story short, things got a little out of hand…

 

First, a backyard ice rink is a realistic pursuit, and it actually works much better than a frozen pond! It is quite possible to construct something that works for this purpose in your own back, front or side yard. There are many variations for doing this, with one common necessity, COLD weather.

Our mission is to provide durable, high quality products to facilitate easy and efficient backyard rink construction of any size or complexity. From a simple 20x40 ft rink with a plastic liner to a more elaborate rink with boards and nets and lights, our products are designed to be flexible.
